Hamburg, August 6, 2014. The TOM TAILOR GROUP continued to systematically build on its strong first-quarter momentum. The Group recorded a surge in sales and income in the first half of 2014 increasing sales by 4.5% to EUR 425.2 million (previous year: EUR 407.0 million). Growth was driven particularly by the TOM TAILOR brands, whose sales increased by 11.0% to EUR 271.4 million (previous year: EUR 244.5 million), backed by gains across all sales channels. BONITA contributed EUR 153.8 million to Group sales in the first half of the year (previous year: EUR 162.5 million). The Group's reported earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) rose to EUR 29.3 million, as compared with EUR 17.3 million in the prior-year period. This represents an increase of 69.4%. The recurring EBITDA increased by 18.2% to EUR 30.5 million (previous year: EUR 25.8 million).
